How It Started
For 20 years I worked behind a bar. I loved the people, the energy, and the craft, but somewhere along the way I knew it was time for a different chapter. I wanted to build something meaningful. Something that was truly mine. So I walked away from that life, rolled up my sleeves, and started over.
And yes, before you wonder — Adulting Candle Co. is not what it sounds like. The name is completely intentional. To me, adulting means showing up, choosing better, and building something worth being proud of. That's exactly what I did. This business is the proof.
What began as a passion project in my home has grown into a full luxury product line shipping across the country and the world — built entirely from scratch, one pour at a time. There's something deeply special about the glow of a candle or the energy a beautiful crystal brings into a space. That feeling became an obsession, the obsession became a craft, and the craft became everything you see here today.

Adulting Apothecary is the natural extension of everything I believe in — clean, intentional, small batch body and skincare products formulated with the same obsessive attention to quality. From whipped body butters to body sprays, every formula is developed and tested by me, in house, in Reno. Because your skin deserves the same intention as your space.
A Little About Me
I'm a mom of four grown kids and a proud grandma of three, with another grandbaby on the way. My crew is spread out across the world, including one who traded Nevada for Australia. When I'm not pouring candles, formulating new apothecary products, or sourcing the next stunning crystal find, you'll usually find me watching baseball or football, planning a theme park adventure, or spending time outdoors. My two pups make sure I never do any of it alone.
Lake Tahoe and the Truckee River are two of my favorite places to slow down, recharge, and remember why I do all of this.
I'm truly grateful for every single customer who has supported this journey. You're the reason I keep going. Building this business from nothing over the past six years has been one of the most rewarding journeys of my life. And honestly? It's just getting started.
